Shayne Milliken, ACP, Deputy Fire Chief

Shayne is one of the founding members of the WIEE and its predecessors, going back the last number of years. He is a board member and an active instructor for a number of the courses run by WIEE and also responsible for the development of various program components.

Outside of the WIEE, Shayne has been involved in multiple facets of emergency services for over ten years. He is currently an Advanced Care Paramedic, working in the Sherwood Park area, as well as the Regional Deputy Fire Chief of Training for a primarily volunteer department in the capital region. In the Deputy Chief role, he has gained extensive experience working with senior government agencies, curriculum design and implementation and adapting to the individual needs of learners.

Shayne is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Public Administration, which takes up a lot of his time when he is not working or teaching.
