Discipline specific classroom component
Candidates: The following identifies which discipline specific classroom component candidates will participate in:
- Professional Responder Instructor PRI
Candidate:
- Must hold participant level in program they wish to teach .. For Example if you would like to teach Advanced First Aid you will require a minimum Advanced First Aid participant Certification.
Course Length:
- Classroom 14 hours 30 minutes
Completion Criteria:
- • Candidates have 6 months to progress from completing Step 2 to begin Step 3
- Successfully complete the in-class micro teaching segments
- Adhere to the Canadian Red Cross Standards of Behaviour and the Group Charter • Attend and participate in 100% of the course—this includes active, directed contributions at all scheduled sessions
- Successfully complete The Teaching Experience – First Aid Programs (online component)
- Successfully complete the classroom Teaching Experience within one year of completing classroom session
- The Teaching Experience –PRI Programs Materials: (online component)
Certification

Valid for three years from discipline specific course date

course unless the program has been revised.
