Emergency First Aid Level A is fast-paced and extensive 1-day course that delivers proven methods for providing basic, urgent assistance to injured or ill adults. Through a combination of instruction, demonstration, and hands-on practice.
Provides a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, trauma and grief on others, with emphasis on self-care and personal protection.Teaches learners how to support themselves and others to cope with the effects of various types of stress.
AFA is a professional emergency response for firefighters, law-enforcement officers, oil and gas safety personnel and emergency medical services personnel.

AFA is a professional level of emergency response including firefighters, law-enforcement officers, oil and gas safety personnel and emergency medical services personnel.
This 20 hour course delivers Basic level of Remote First Aid that covers material in SFA & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. It offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours.
For recertification, standards remain the same with the following variations:
- 8-10 hours of teaching time
- Proof of current Remote First Aid or Wilderness Remote First Aid certification (or as
legislation dictates) required.
